What We Can Cover
Every lesson is built around what you want to learn. There's no set syllabus — just practical guidance on exactly the things that matter to you.
Never used a computer before, or recently switched to a new one? We start at the very beginning — mouse and keyboard confidence, understanding the desktop, and finding your way around Windows.
Email is one of the most important skills to master. We'll help you set up and use your email account confidently — writing, replying, forwarding, and managing attachments — including video calls with friends and family.
From browsing the web and searching for information to online shopping and banking safely, we'll help you make the most of the internet with the confidence to know what's safe and what to watch out for.
Word, Excel and PowerPoint are invaluable tools at home and in the workplace. We cover everything from writing your first letter in Word to creating spreadsheets and presentations — at whatever level suits you.
Tablets are increasingly popular — especially for those who find a traditional computer less comfortable to use. We offer dedicated tuition on iPads and Android tablets, covering apps, settings, photos and more.
Scams, phishing emails and fake websites are increasingly common. We help you learn how to spot them, protect your passwords, stay safe online and avoid the tricks that catch people out — with real-world examples.
The Benefits of One-to-One Training
Group classes and online courses can't give you what a personal, local trainer can.
The lesson is built entirely around what you want to learn — no set syllabus, no wasted time on things you don't need.
There's no pressure to keep up with others. If something needs more time, we take more time. If you're comfortable, we move forward.
Training on your own machine means what you learn immediately applies to how your computer actually looks and behaves.
In a group, it's easy to feel embarrassed about asking questions. One-to-one, every question is welcome — there are no silly ones.
We come to you — no need to travel anywhere. Training in your own surroundings means you're more relaxed, more comfortable, and you learn more effectively.
A partner, friend or family member can join each lesson at no extra cost. Many couples find it helpful to learn together — you can also share the lesson fee between you.
We explain everything in plain, everyday language. If we do need to use a technical term, we'll always explain clearly what it means — and we never make you feel silly for asking.

That entirely depends on what you want to learn and how quickly you pick things up — and both of those vary hugely from person to person. There's no minimum commitment; some people are happy after two or three lessons, others enjoy ongoing monthly sessions to keep learning new things.
No. We work with whatever you already have — Windows PC, laptop, Mac, iPad or Android tablet. Training on your own device is actually better, because what you learn applies directly to your own setup.
Yes — a second person can join each lesson completely free of charge. Many couples or friends find this a great way to learn together and share the experience. You can also split the £40 fee between you if you prefer.
We can provide simple written summaries of key steps so you have something to refer to between lessons. Many students find it helpful to keep a notebook during sessions to jot down the things they want to remember.
